SafeMail
Revolutionary protection from e-mail threats.
As the daily volume of email and spam rapidly expands, the risk to internal systems from corrupt messages and viruses becomes an ever greater threat.
SafeMail, the filter and forward security system developed by Connexus, is recognised as one of the most effective and safe spam gateways offered by an ISP in Australia.
Safemail eradicates spam messages and viruses before they reach client networks because it operates within the Connexus domain.
Email messages intended for your network are received at the Connexus SafeMail gateway and subjected to numerous protection strategies including IP level filtering, username harvesting protection, customised anti spam analysis (Bayesian), Denial of Service attack prevention and catchall processing, amongst others. Each message is subject to stringent anti-virus testing using two individual anti-virus engines. Any infected message or attachment is immediately stopped and logged for review.
Clean, safe, relevant messages are then released to our customer’s mail server for distribution across their network.
SafeMail is flexible and fully configurable allowing our customers to determine the level of sensitivity of their spam filtering and to discard or tag messages as suits their needs. And because Safemail provides this unparalleled level of flexibility and security, businesses can be confident that their network is safe and secure.
SafeMail also acts as a back-up to the company mail server and should the situation arise where the server goes down, SafeMail will receive and retain messages for up to five days, forwarding them automatically when normal service is restored.
Additional features within SafeMail include a facility to copy emails to another address (with an SMS alert for important messages) and an optional archiving feature.
SafeMail is managed through the Connexus DomainPilot interface, our central management tool for all Connexus internet services, and depending on the required configuration can significantly reduce the mail load across our customer’s networks.
